CEDR Mediator Handbook

A large-scale digital project developed for CEDR (Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution)
in collaboration with Tailored. The Mediator Handbook is an interactive publication created for future legal mediators
attending CEDR's professional accreditation courses, designed to replace the traditional printed manual with a more
accessible, engaging learning experience.

Content strategy and interface design

Working closely with CEDR's training experts, we restructured a large volume of educational material into a clear, modular system of chapters, sections and interactive elements. The interface was designed to support self-paced study, with intuitive navigation, visual hierarchies and embedded media that help users move between theory, examples and practical exercises.

Branding

A dedicated visual identity was developed for the Handbook, building on CEDR's existing brand while giving the publication its own editorial character. The system includes a refined colour palette, custom typography pairings, page templates and a flexible pattern that runs across chapters to reinforce hierarchy and continuity and gives the Handbook a recognisable identity across every touchpoint

Designed to live in two worlds, the Handbook exists as both an interactive digital publication and a printed book. Layouts, grids and typography were adapted for each medium so that the reading experience feels native to the device or page in hand, while remaining visually unified across formats.

Digital and print output

Alongside the Handbook, we produced supporting web pages and video content for CEDR's Virtual Campus, including chapter introductions and trainer presentations. These assets extend the learning journey beyond the publication and create a coherent multimedia ecosystem around the course.
